Al*Mar is the only society left in a post-apocalyptic Earth. It has none of our old-world maladies —money, religion, high cholesterol, and its citizens are united by one language, one belief, and an annual Mayday celebration: a night when 56 volunteers are sent out into the abyss in hopes of repopulating the globe.
